Just because you can work effectively and efficiently without getting a reward does not mean that your team, department, or organization can, too! This is especially true of the younger generation. Don’t believe for a minute that is exclusive to them, though.
If you are asking yourself, “Why can’t they [your employees] be more like me?” you’re asking the wrong question. Here’s the question you should be asking: “What can I do to motivate them and maximize our results?”
